CHOOSING A SUBLIMATION PRINTER.
We believe that the world of sublimation offers consumers way too much choice, which leads to paralysing confusion at best and an extremely costly mistake at worst. Blanks Sublimation have assembled a deliberately small range of printers that narrows your choice and leads you to the correct decision without delay. Leaving you to get your business up and running, while others are still deciding which printer to choose.
WHY SHOULD MOST SUBLIMATION PRINTERS BE AVOIDED?
You may be surprised to learn that nearly all of the printers offered for sale as sublimation printers are not designed or intended by their manufacturers to be used with sublimation inks. The standard industry solution to this is to provide cheap refillable cartridges that have a computer chip that basically cons the printer into believing that you are using genuine inks. This is a very poor solution as these sophisticated modern printers are not easily fooled and from time to time reject these cartridges as foreign bodies. This annoyingly seems to happen when you are rushing to complete an order deadline.
SO WHAT IS THE BEST SOLUTION?
In our opinion the best and most cost effective solution lies in the Fabulous Epson Ecotank range. These ground breaking printers do not use cartridges at all! You simply pour your bottled sublimation inks into the built in reservoirs. Epson claim that these printers reduce your ink costs by up to 90% Yes you heard it correctly 90%.
As all the printers that we stock are from the Ecotank range the only decision that our customers are asked to make is A4 printing or A3 If Money is not an issue for a few hundred pounds more the A3 option will give you more scope. However a wide range of products can be printed on an A4 format. For example Place mats, coasters, jigsaws, children’s T-shirts and so on.
